I’ve been a loyal customer of Bake & Che in Brookhurst, always ordering to-go through the Toast Local app. While I haven’t had any negative experiences at the Brookhurst location, I’ve had consistently disappointing experiences at the Garden Grove location. This particular location seems to consistently serve smaller portions compared to other stores I’ve visited. It’s the third time I’ve ordered from the Garden Grove location, and initially, I thought it might be a staff error. However, it’s become apparent that this is a recurring issue. I received only two pieces of jackfruit, and the other toppings were significantly less than what I’ve gotten at other locations. I’m deeply disappointed with this experience and can’t help but wonder if the owner has read the numerous negative reviews about the staff’s attitude and the quality of the desserts. The owner appears to be young and enthusiastic about her business, so I hope she hasn’t lost her passion or has become complacent, especially considering the success of her establishment.

Chè here is very good. I always ask for either no sugar or least sugar level and they taste perfect to me. Staff is super friendly and kind, which is pretty rare to see at Vietnamese shops. Highly recommend!

I love Bake & Che. They have multiple locations now throughout OC and LA. I mainly visit this location because it’s closer to me. Parking: The parking lot can be frustrating because it can get busy on random days. Finding a spot is a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small/medium indoor space with a decent amount of indoor seating. It can get crowded with people waiting around at the pick up counter. It’s a Vietnamese spot, so Vietnamese music will be playing. Service: The workers are nice, quick, and efficient. They speak English and Vietnamese. Desserts: I absolutely enjoy all their che. It’s so refreshing! Their bakery items brings back so many memories for me. My favorite is the Pandan. My go-to Che are the Thai, avocado, and house special. Perfect amount of milk and a generous amount of jellies & fruits. My only critique is the cleanliness of the packaging. Every time I received my order, the cup is always sticky. Their Green Thai Tea is the BEST I’ve ever had! The floral and pandan notes definitely came through. Pricing: It is pretty pricey, but definitely worth it every once in a while! Highly recommend joining their rewards program through the Toast app. T

Place is nice and clean. Good customer services. When i get there is empty so no wait. I get Avocado drink...love it. Coconut Smash, this drink have peanut on it. She ask if i am okay with peanuts. You can request without peanuts. Other one, i forgot what is name...maybe house special with durian on it and this one have peanuts too. Again you can request no peanuts, ice on the side if you dont drink it right away and all of them i order less sweet. But they come out okay or sweet but not too sweet so its perfect. Order cake sample too. As seen in the picture. My favorite is cassava cake, brown sugar. Mungbean is good. I just dont like mungbean filling, same thing with taro. All the cake is sweet so if you need to watch out for sugar.
